College Admissions and Career Coach:
Throughout her career, Sally has enjoyed working with people in transition. High school students and parents looking for the school that is the right fit for them. College students looking for that internship or first job. And mid-career professionals who need a change in career or a bit of help getting to the next step.
As a College Coach…
Sally demystifies the college search and application process for parents, and helps high school sophomores, juniors and seniors devise and create a plan that will get them in to the best school for them. This can be a stressful time, and it doesn’t have to be. Sally provides just the right amount of organization, information and humor to relieve the tension that often builds up between teen and parent around this process. She can assist you with career counseling, creating checklist and timeline, school search, navigating the common app, essay ideas and edits, preparing for the college interview and making that final decision once the acceptances start rolling in.
As a Career Counselor…
By day, Sally is the Director of Post-Graduate Planning at Olin College in Needham MA, where she works with her students to prepare them for grad school and the professional world. Together with other phases of her career, this experience has taught Sally how to work with individuals at all stages of their career. Whether they need help landing a summer internship, that first job after graduation, switching jobs, or advocating for a promotion, she can advise as to all that is involved with establishing your professional brand, organizing your search, finding prospects in the desired field or geographic location, and preparing for the interview.
Whether you need some initial guidance and periodic check-ins, or a more comprehensive plan, Sally has the enthusiasm, experience and track record you are seeking.
“It was October of my son’s senior year and we were all feeling a bit overwhelmed and behind on the whole college application process. Sally invited him over for 3 hours one Saturday afternoon to make a plan. My son came home feeling so much better! He had his list of schools identified, an essay topic he was excited about and some very clear action steps. We all finally felt like we knew what we needed to accomplish to get his application in on time. Sally was a huge help in getting us organized and mobilized!”
